Being here is like being in a work of art. Macalister Mansion, built in the early 1900s. Yes, it is a mansion converted into a boutique hotel located along Macalister Road in Penang. It is named in honour of Sir Norman Macalister, one of the first British Governors of Penang, formerly known as Prince of Wales Island. The Living Room is where I had my evening tea with some companions. Beautiful little pastries and some scrumptious buns of different shapes and flavours were neatly served. Then I took a tour around the ground floor of the mansion where the Dining Room, The Den and The Cellar are located. However, I haven’t had the chance to visit The Lawn and The Eight Rooms yet. I will make it my next to-visit list.
